"With ventilated rack....you are extending the time of change of the cage, so if you put water bottles on you have to go back in there and change water bottles, so that is defeating one of the advantages of ventilated racks that you can reduce your changes from 2 to 3 times a week to once every 10 days or 14 days or even longer , but if you use water bottles then you have to come back."
